The Crafted Chen is partnering with St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity and volunteering with five women for Women's Build 2021. Our efforts in giving back to our community are meaningful to our brand values in addition to empowering women to use tools for repairing and restoring homes locally in the community. During International Women's History Month, March, our team will put our hands on the pavement and support the build of new construction home.
Our team is raising funds for the Habitat for Humanity Home family recipient by raffling off a Home + Lifestyle Luxxe Box valued at $170. The Luxxe Box includes beautiful lush pillows, two Gold Lips mugs, tea accessories, and more.
The raffle winner will be announced on March 20th, 2021. and with your monetary gift, you are helping a family have the opportunity to move into a new home. We are raising a minimum of $500 for Nina and her daughter Aubrey!

One mother’s story…
Meet Nina, who was trapped in a bad relationship and desperately needed a safe haven for herself and her daughter Aubrey. The overwhelming prospect of being alone, and supporting her daughter as a single parent kept her in a toxic relationship for years. Although Nina had a good, steady job, it was not enough to provide a home, pay utilities, or buy food. Nina felt hopeless.
In time, Nina was able to find the courage and strength to leave the relationship. Fortunately, Nina’s mother let them move in with her, and although they shared a small bedroom and a bed, Nina and Aubrey had a safe haven to heal, grow, and save.
For four years, Nina has been saving and dreaming. Dreaming of the day she could afford her own home with enough space for Aubrey (now a teenager) to have her own room.
Nina qualified for St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity’s Homeownership Program and she is working on fulfilling her required sweat equity hours and saving for closing costs. The keys to Nina’s home will come with an affordable mortgage (no more than 30% of her monthly income) and the sense that she CAN be independent and provide for her daughter on her own.
We are proud to support Nina and her daughter to live comfortably while continue to dream for a brighter future in a beautiful place to call home.
